 The Meaning Behind “Caritas” 

Caritas (kär′ē täs′), or agape, is selfless love in the sense of God’s love for man and man’s love for God. It is human compassion for one’s neighbor. It is also one of the three theological virtues in the form of charity. 

Mission

The Mystic Krewe of Caritas was founded to provide education and financial support to the LGBTQ+ community through fundraising and wish-list drives. Its main community fundraiser, a Mardi Gras Bal Masque, is the primary fundraiser.   

Vision 

Through both leadership and stewardship the Mystic Krewe of Caritas assists the LGBTQ+ community gather financial and material resources.
